Dear Monroe County Commissioner:

Numerous important and contentious issues face Keys residents today –development, traffic, water quality, spending and taxation levels, excess regulation, public safety, tourism – just to name a few.

To examine those issues and ensure that taxpayers understand your vision for leading Monroe County, several Keys civic organizations (listed below) are cordially inviting all five County Commissioners to participate in individual one-hour question and answer session with Keys voters.

The aim of these interviews is to increase public understanding and awareness of Monroe County government operations. The format is straightforward: There will be five interviewers, three from among the Keys organizations listed below, and two residents from your district. The session will be videotaped and then distributed to a variety of news and social media outlets.

Your Q & A session is scheduled for Thursday, March 2, at 4 p.m. in ______. If that date conflicts with your busy schedule, we will accommodate any date and time that you suggest.

You will have five minutes to introduce yourself at the beginning of the interview and five minutes for a closing statement. Interviewers will have approximately 10 minutes each for their questions.

Thank you in advance for participating in this important exercise in transparency and accessibility with our elected leaders.

Sincerely,

Keys Last Stand
